twelve years - old boy called Gian Burrasca ( Johnny the Storm ), a real little rascal.

The musical, in 8 episodes, based on the famous homonymous book written by Vamba , original music by Nino Rota, arrangements by Luis Enriquez Bacalov- both of them prize Academy Award winners -,  sets and costumes by Piero Tosi and directed by Lina Wertmuller , scored 

an unprecedented success, perhaps one of the biggest  EVENTS  of the Italian Television ever.

Rita’s “Viva la pappa col pomodoro “ – the main theme of the musical – will sell more then 1 millions copies all over the world.
