In this second match, Alberto Lupo presents Rita and Domenico Modugno ( the internationally famous “ Mr. Volare “) who sings Rita’s
top hit “ Il geghegé “ pretending to be kind of “ worried “ for the impending big match with Rita Pavone “ the phenomenon “.
After joking and laughing with Alberto Lupo about her personal…height stature problem, the “ Collettoni & Collettine “group step in to back up Rita in the big struggle against Mr. Volare.
The studio turns suddenly into a first world war scenery and the “Collettoni “, all dressed like soldiers, give way to a singing and
dancing production number, out of the Film “ Rita, la feldmarescialla “, with two songs, “ L’esercito del surf “ and “ Rita Kaput “.
So an “encouraged” Rita sings “ Da cosa nasce cosa “ and hosts her singing guests : British Sandy Shaw ( La danza delle note ) and Teddy Reno – her present official “ fiancé “ but former international singing star in the ‘50s- who sings Nat “ King “ Cole’s “ Nature boy “.
Then Rita impersonates her opponents in the match, Dalida and Domenico Modugno and, right towards the end of “ Mr. Volare “ imitation, she is joined by Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia - two popular comics who - at present – work with Modugno in the theatre musical “ Rinaldo in campo “ – and sings with them an amusing parody of the theatric number “ Siamo rimasti in tre “.
Towards the end of her mini show, Rita plays again the role of a Sicilian guardian angel in a sketch with Alberto Lupo and finally sings her most popular song “ Cuore “ ( Heart ) .
